Magic the Gathering (MtG) is a collectable card game for 2 or more players. Each game represents a battle between powerful wizards, known as Planeswalkers, who have the ability to travel the multiverse. Players will cast spells, summon creatures, and deploy artifacts to overcome their opponents. Typically, a player will win by reducing their opponent's starting life points to zero, but there are other paths to victory.To play the game, each player will need a deck of at least 60 cards. Players may use pre-constructed decks or customised decks created from their personal card collection.Jumpstart is something a little different. Released on 17 July 2020, it is a supplemental set containing only 37 new cards. The rest of the set is comprised of 458 cards re-printed from older sets, or cards with alternate artwork. 169 cards from M21 are also available in Jumpstart products. Jumpstart cards will not be legal to play in Standard, Modern or Pioneer.Jumpstart was released as a supplement set to Core Set 2021, but is a standalone set. It is designed to be played without the need to deck build. Simply open two boosters, shuffle them together, and start playing. Each booster is themed, containing creatures, spells, and lands to play them.
